- Upload the design you saved to your Desktop. Be sure to give it a title so you can identify it later.
- Wait for the design to upload and you will see it in your list of installed designs.
- Click [Preview] next to the design you uploaded to make sure your site looks ok.
- To make this your default design that everyone else sees, go into the Main Preferences and open up the first option, "Site Design".
Note: You should uninstall old designs that you are no longer using, as each design adds a small additional charge to your monthly hosting bill.

How do I change/add the main photo for each page?
- Log into CMS.
- Click the purple [Manage Designs] button at the top of the page.
- Click [Edit] next to the design for which you will be changing photos (each design takes a different set of photos).
- On the following page, you will see a place to upload your Main Photo.
- To upload alternate photos for each module, click the link in the second section that says "Click here to upload different photos for each module of your site."
Note: Photos must be under 500kB in size. If your photos are too big, then you should resize them to get them under 500kB — preferably 100-200kB max.
Do not reduce the quality of your photos in an attempt to make them smaller. Instead, you should resize (i.e. scale) the physicial dimensions of the photo so that is a maximum of 600x600 pixels in either direction in order to reduce the size.

I just made a change but it's not showing up. Why?
All changes made in KarmaCMS take place immediately, so if don't see something update right away, be sure to refresh your page. If you still don't see your don't see your changes, then it is usually due to your browser caching the page. Try clearing your browser cache and that should force the browser to get the update page from the server.

Why isn't my site ranking high in Google?
If you just created your site, it can take months before your site starts to appear in search engines, and many months more before you start ranking high.
Search engines have literally billions of pages on the web to sort through, and there are thousands of new sites coming online every day. Waiting for a search engine to find your site can be a slow process, especially if there are not a lot of other websites linking to your new site. (This is the way search engines find your site — by other sites linking to your site.)
You can speed the process up a little by submitting your site to the search engines (click here to submit to Google), but don't expect fast results. No matter what you do, it's probably going to be several weeks to a month before your site is shows up.
If you are interested in learning how to optimize your site for higher search engine rankings, see this guide.

What is a teaser?
A teaser is a little block of content that goes around the perimeter of your site, like "featured album", "upcoming shows", or "join the mailing list". All of our demo sites have teasers, so take a look at them for examples of teasers in action.
